National Oblate Youth Encounter

NOYE is conducted every January and is a De Mazenod Family gathering that invites school leaders and senior students from the respective secondary schools to join past students and members from the various Oblate ministries across the country to be part of Oblate Youth Australia.

DMFEN Student Leader’s Conference

At the beginning of the school year the secondary school leaders from each College gather to discuss leadership and learn more about the DMF Charism.

DMFEN Staff Retreat

Staff from secondary and primary schools are invited to immerse themselves in a Retreat Experience led by an Oblate Spiritual Leader. The experience is an opportunity for formation and personal reflection. In 2024 and 2025 the location for the retreat is the Santa Teresa Spirituality Centre in Ormiston QLD.

Members from leadership and Religious Education Teams are encouraged to participate at least once in this annual event.

DMFEN Pilgrimage (Paris / Aix-En-Provence / Rome)

The pilgrimage designed to experience the life and ministry of St Eugene De Mazenod is a biennial event, with the inaugural tour taking place in June 2024. This pilgrimage is a DMF Education Network Event but open to members in the broader De Mazenod Family Community. It is advertised as a land package event to allow for flexibility so participants can travel from various locations and include the event as part of other experiences/plans.

DMFEN Staff Conference

The tradition of the Staff Conferences started in the 1990s and provides an excellent format for College Leaders, experienced staff, inexperienced staff, and non-teaching staff to learn about the Charism, build connection and enjoy the company of colleagues from DMFEN schools.

The secondary schools rotate through hosting responsibilities. The event occurs around August and in the future, it is hoped primary school staff avail themselves of the opportunity to join, or tailor a conference to cater for their circumstances.
