Hope Inspires: Lent Program 2025

Each year we offer a chance to pray and reflect as a community as we prepare for Easter. The Lenten program looks different each year, and we hope you are able to participate either individually or as a local ministry, to be drawn into a reflective and nourishing space through Lent, onto Easter.

The program for 2025: Hope Inspires is available to download below. We encourage you to take a look! If you would like to run this locally and are looking for some suggestions, ideas, or additional resources please reach out to us, we would love to help in any way we can.

As we journey to the Cross, may a renewed hope in Christ our Saviour inspire us in every corner of our lives; bringing peace and love as the Resurrection draws.

Each week we will share a story from Luke’s Gospel that reveals hope, trust, and love, inspiring us to share these virtues in our everyday lives, particularly during this Year of Jubilee, walking as Pilgrims of Hope. May the thoughts from Luke’s writings and our friendship with God refresh our days, calm our nights, and ignite us with renewed hope, as we walk towards the Cross and the light of the Resurrection.

Luke was a physician and companion of Paul. He was most likely a Gentile from Antioch, writing his Gospel after Mark. Because he had no firsthand experience of Jesus, he had to borrow information from Mark and Matthew, with many of his narratives and parables coming from Mark. When we read the Acts of the Apostles, we see a continuance of Luke’s story, giving him authorship of the Acts.

Luke’s Gospel begins and ends with hope. Hope for the weak at the start of Lent and hope that inspires us through the Resurrection and beyond.
