May Program
May Program 2024
Since the inception of the of the De Mazenod Family, in late April/Early May, we have been able to put together a program for our De Mazenod Family Members. We have called it the May Program. It is designed to get us thinking about how we are connected to the Charism of St Eugene de Mazenod, and provides a chance to reflect on this together in community. This is especially important to us at this time of year as we prepare to celebrate St Eugene de Mazenod’s Feast Day on the 21st May each year.
In the spirit of Pope Francis’ call to prioritise prayer as a means of deepening our relationship with Christ, this year’s program offers a sacred space for members of the De Mazenod Family to rekindle the flame of devotion and embark on a transformative journey of spiritual renewal. As we journey together through the life and teachings of St. Eugene de Mazenod, may we emerge inspired and empowered to embrace prayer as a lifeline to the divine, anchoring our souls in the unshakeable love of Christ and emboldening us to carry forth his mission of mercy and compassion in a world yearning for hope and healing.
This document contains the complete May Program. It has been written in four separate sessions, with each “Week” being an individual topic, taking a chapter from 15 Days of Prayer with St Eugene de Mazenod written by Bernard Dullier. While the program is written in 4 individual sessions, this shouldn’t restrict your thinking on how you can best use this resource within your community or for your own personal formation.
